Roaring Fork HS Choir Course Offerings

ALL CLASSES: Students will be exposed to a variety of repertoire from a wide range of time periods, genres, and languages/cultures. Through their experiences with these pieces, students will learn about music history, composers, and their compositions. Members of the class will learn to refine their musical literacy through sight-reading, IPA, and musical theory activities. Each choir performs multiple concerts each year and may participate in an array of recognized festivals. All activities are mandatory and will directly impact grading unless otherwise specified!

RFHS Women's Choir
Description: This choir is a women's choral ensemble designed for students who are interested in furthering their skills in vocal music and accelerating toward a more advanced approach. This ensemble is designed for students who are interested in vocal music of all levels. No experience necessary; no audition necessary; all are welcome!
RFHS Men's Choir
RFHS Men's Ensemble: REHEARSES TU & FRI DURING LUNCH
Description: This choir is a men's choral ensemble designed for students who are interested in furthering their skills in vocal music and accelerating toward a more advanced approach. This ensemble is designed for students who are interested in vocal music of all levels. No experience necessary; no audition necessary; all are welcome!
RFHS Chamber Choir
This is an elite advanced, ensemble designed for students who are dedicated to the highest musical excellence in vocal music. Each member of this ensemble is expected to attend weekly sectionals and work independently to improve their voices as this group does not yet exist during the school day. Choir members are strongly encouraged to study privately. This group will focus on a variety of performance styles and genres. * This choir is open by audition only.*
