RFHS Choirs Accomplishments

Fall & Winter 2017-2018

• Fall 2017: We have 18 amazing women in our RFHS Women's Choir

​

• Fall 2017: We have 5 great gentlemen in our RFHS Men's Choir! 

​

• Congratulations to all the RFHS Choir Department students who participated in the 2017 Fall Vocal Clinic at Rifle HS on October 26th! We were part of 10 schools and 460 students who participated!

​

• Congratulations to Cathal Branigan who is the FIRST EVER RFHS Student from RFHS to be accepted to the Men's Colorado All State Choir! Performances will be at Buell Theater in Denver, February 2018. CONGRATULATIONS CAL!!

​

• We had six students selected to sing in the Colorado Choral Directors Select Choir for 2017: Congratulations to Lizbeth Jimenez, Liliann Smalls, Lance Wiederman, Travis Ochko, Cathal Branigan, and Patrick Keleher who represented RFHS November 12 & 13, 2017. Great job singers!

• Congratulations to our 9 students selected to sing in the All Valley Honor Choir on December 2nd in Aspen (hosted by The Aspen Music Festival & School). Congratulations Jessica Kollar, Lilliann Smalls, Isabella Knaus, Bailey Griebel, Lance Wiederman, Patrick Kelleher, Travis Ochko, William Luckett, & Cathal Branigan!

• We had a tremendously successful Holiday Harmonies Winter Concert on December 12th at The Orchard in Carbondale! Congratulations to all the performers of Women's Choir, Men's Choir, G4 Guitar Class, and the RFHS Jazz Band!  We had a full house and many community sponsors who supported our silent auction. Collectively we made $3,011 which will go toward important purchases for our department & students. Special thanks to our anonymous benefactor who MATCHED our earnings with another $3,022!! • RFHS Solo & Ensemble 2018 was a tremendous success with over 30 solo and ensemble events!  EVERY student from the Fall Semester of both Men's & Women's Choirs participated! Congratulations performers and special thanks to our clinician, Mr. Brian Stone, MM!

• What a phenomenal Spring Concert: Of Fireflies & Full Moons.  Excellent performances from all our singers.

​

• Spring 2018: We have 23 amazing women in our RFHS Women's Choir & 7 astounding gentlemen in Men's Choir!! Congratulations on the hard work and increase in numbers.

• Feel It Still: The Pops & Awards Concert was a tremendous success! Thanks to all who participated!!
